The traditional way of betting on different kind of sports in Europe, is the 1X2 version. In other parts of the world however, different versions of Handicap betting is the main thing. Handicap betting aims to give a start advantage to the bad team in order to get similar odds for all outcomes.

The Asian Handicap market is a special version of Handicap betting with only two outcomes on a game. Therefore the bookmakers try to set the Asian Handicap so the odds for the different outcomes become just below or around 2.

From a betting point of view, the Asian market makes many games between big favourites and mediocre teams, much more interesting, since we do not have to deal with very small or very high odds.

The Asian Handicaps that we use in our bet propositions are the following variations:

While looking for Asian Handicaps, it is very important to know the difference between the Asian Handicap (0:1) and the traditional Handicap (0:1), since the odds for the later is certainly a bit higher since you will loose all your money if the game ends with the favourite winning with a one goal margin. For the Asian Handicap (0:1) you will get the money back in the same situation. In the example listing below, this is better explained.

Asian Handicap (0:0,25)

Example A:

Bet on Myteam starting with 0,25 goals ahead.

0-1 - the entire stake is lost.

0-0 - half stake is refunded and half stake is multiplied with the odds.

1-0 - the entire stake is multiplied with the odds.

Example B:

Myteam-Otherteam (0:0,25).

Bet on Myteam starting with 0,25 goals in the back.

0-1 - the entire stake is lost.

0-0 - half stake is lost and half stake is refunded.

1-0 - the entire stake is multiplied with the odds.

Asian Handicap (0:0,5)

Example A:
