Pick: Västerås (Asian hcp -0,25)
Stake: 2%
Odds: 1,84
Place 1,71% on Västerås at odds 2,15
Place 0,29% on Draw at odds 3,50
Final reasons
Västerås is in good shape with six wins from the last seven rounds, and with goal machine Stefan Bärlin showing excellent form they really have a big chance of overcoming an out of shape Västra Frölunda. Since the odds on the Asian Handicap -0,25, is good and valuable, that will be our choice for tomorrow. This means that we will get back half of the stake back in case of a draw. Medium stake 2%.
General comment about the game
On Saturday afternoon there is one game in the Swedish Superettan. Reborn Västerås welcomes Västra Frölunda to Arosvallen in a game that is very important for both teams since they both have a chance to get the playoff spot if they play well during the autumn rounds. However, a defeat tomorrow means loosing important points to an opponent for that playoff spot. Västerås was one of those teams that were expected to be in the top, but instead of behaving as a top team they were very poor and they only grabbed seven points from the first twelve rounds. During this period Västerås changed coach to Richard Money, who left Swedish AIK earlier this season. After some stumbling first games under the regime of Mr Money things have now lightened up and Västerås is one of the best in form teams in the league. Last game was played away to Enköping, a derby game that Västerås won 2-1. The game had very much the character of a derby but Västerås played as if there was no other option but winning. One of the reasons that Västerås suddenly has started to win is that top scorer Stefan Bärlin has started to be very efficient; so far has made 15 goals this season. Västerås will have defender Martin Zanton suspended against Västra Frölunda. No other absentees are reported.
Västra Frölunda is in a bad period with only one point collected from the last five games. Although letting in quite a lot of goals lately the Frölunda website says that the defence has been good. We think that if you have let in three goals in four of the five last games, you do not have a good defence, what so ever. Studying recent games it is obvious that Frölunda can play good football since they started best against both Öster and Häcken. But they also have a tendency of playing very scrappy in periods of the games, and this is why they have been unable to win games lately. One reason for this could be that their midfield is not working correctly, they have not got those players that you need in order to control a game for longer periods. Västra Frölunda has no new injuries ahead of Saturday’s clash so the starting line will be picked from the same group of players as last game.
