Final reasons
Gefle has proven to be this years surprise in the Swedish Superettan and now everything points to promotion. The squad is nearly fully fit today and being the best home side in the league with only one loss and one draw so far, out of shape Enköping should be an easy task. We go for the home side and we stake 3%.
General comment about the game
In Swedish Superettan there is a game between leading Gefle and 12th placed Enköping today. Gefle is the biggest surprise so far this season. It really looks as if they will be able to continue their good season all the way through. At home Gefle is the best team in the league and one of the reasons for this is a very stable defence. In eleven home games they have just let in four goals. They have only lost once and they have only drawn once. Last round Gefle won away to Brommapojkarna with 2-1. Brommapojkarna started best and were the better side during first half, but Gefle has a good defence and the result was 0-0 at halftime. In the second half Gefle started in another tempo and before five minutes had passed they were already 2-0 up. The second goal was maybe an off side goal but the referee let it go and suddenly things were much more difficult for the home side. Brommapojkarna did not create any real danger after the two goals but in the end they finally got a consolation goal. To this game Gefle has a nearly fully fit squad. The only player who is out with injury is goal keeper Mattias Hugosson, but he has been replaced by Martin Sundström in some games already, and Sundström has been splendid.
Last year Enköping played in Allsvenskan. This year they are in Superettan just over they relegation zone and of course their aim is to secure a place in Superettan for next year. Their main problem this year is that they have difficulties in holding the lead and win games. So far they have only won three games, and compared with the ten draws it is really bad. Last round Enköping played against Boden, another team from the bottom regions. Enköping missed a penalty in the first half, and they also missed four chances in the second half when their forwards were left alone with Lee Baxter in the Boden goal. But if you can not make goals on such clear chances you do not win games, that is for sure. Also Boden had some good chances but neither team could score, and so the final result was 0-0. The game before Enköping played away to Brage in another bottom affair. That game ended 3-1 to Brage, and bearing in mind that Brage only had taken 1 point from the last six home games prior that, really shows the misery Enköping is in. There are no suspensions in Enköping today and there are no new injuries reported.
