General comment about the game
Also the English Conference League plays a full round this Bank Holiday Monday. One of the games of interest is Morecambe against Leigh. Morecambe has been one of the better teams in the Conference League the last seasons and the aim for this year is of course once again to be promoted. However things have not started as good as expected. So far Morecambe stays on the 17th position, and it is time to start winning. Normally Morecambe is a very good home side and playing Leigh must be perfect in order to take their first home victory for the season. Last round Morecambe played away to Scarborough in a game that ended 1-1. Scarborough started best but after a while Morecambe got into the game and created some good chances. In the 33rd minute the visitors could take the lead. In the second half Morecambe started best, but now it was Scarborough who could score the equaliser in the 59th minute. During the rest of the game both teams tried to score the winner but although some good chances the game ended in a 1-1 draw. For today’s game Morecambe only has an injury doubt over midfielder Ian Swan (4 apps, 0 goals). Otherwise there are no injuries or suspensions in the squad.
