Final reasons

Accrington has started the season in a magnificent way and it looks as if the handful of new signings has brought in some extra class compared with last year. Woking is a good side that probable will end in the middle of the table, this year though below Accrington. We believe Accrington takes the third consecutive home win and we stake 2% since it is early times in the Conference League.

General comment about the game

In the English Conference League third placed Accrington welcomes fifteenth placed Woking to a Saturday game. Accrington already showed last year that they can be a good side and this year they seem to be even stronger. So far they have taken four wins from five games and since they have not played any of the expected bottom sides so far it looks very promising. The goal difference 7-1 from their two home games against expected mid table teams Crawley and Burton is very strong. The only loss so far came in third round when playing away to solid Stevenage. In order to establish them selves in the top of the league, Accrington has signed a number of new players. Most important of these are former Sheffield United midfielder Stephen Jagielka (5 apps), former Altrincham midfielder Ian Craney (5 apps, 2 goals), former Rochdale striker Lee McEville ( 5 apps) and former Chesterfield defender Stuart Howson (1(3) apps). A loan deal has also brought defender Stuart Bimson (5 apps) from Cambridge to the club. Ahead of the game defender Steve Halford (4 apps) is doubtful with a calf injury. Definitely out is midfielder Andy Procter who has been absent all season because of a knee injury.

Woking has started the new season in a calm way with only one win so far and that was against expected bottom side Leigh and two draws against Exeter and Dagenham. Woking has not brought in many new players ahead of the new season. The only one that has been regularly included in the starting line up is striker Justin Richards (5 apps, 1 goal) who has played all games so far. Last round Woking lost at home to Aldershot with 2-1 after a Aldershot goal in the very end of the game. Woking was down to nine men after both midfielder Scott Canham (3 apps) and mentioned Justin Richards were sent of. Neither of these players is aloud to take part in the game against Accrington. Defender Gary MacDonald (3 apps) is once again doubtful with injury, otherwise all other players are available.
