Pick: Barnet
Stake: 2%

Final reasons
This is a game that before the season started seemed to be a very tricky one to predict since both teams were supposed promotion candidates. However, the teams start of the season is the reverse. Barnet has impressed a lot and Morecambe has underachieved and have difficulties finding their play. We believe that home advantage together with form will decide the outcome and therefore recommend a bet on Barnet. However, we keep the stake on 2%.
General comment about the game
On Saturday the English Conference League continues. The game between Barnet and Morecambe has drawn our attention. Barnet is after a very fine start the table toppers. They have collected 13 points from 15 available and is one of only three teams that are still unbeaten. Last home game was against lowly Northwich Victoria. As we predicted in a previous bet recommendation Barnet were by far the better team and won with 4-0. In the next game they played away to newcomers Canvey Island and extended their winning stroll to three wins. A brilliant solo effort from Barnet midfielder Dean Sinclair was enough to sink the hosts and lift Barnet to the top of the Conference League. The visitors had to defend for long periods, but still created the better chances and fully deserved their win. The Barnet manager was of course satisfied with the points and stressed that their defensive performance was very good. Barnet has some minor injury worries ahead of Saturday’s clash. First choice goalkeeper Shane Gore (3 apps) is definitely ruled out and defenders Ismail Yakubu (2 apps) and Chris Plummer (3 apps) are doubtful. Plummer was absent in last game and Gore has been absent the last two games. Barnet has obviously managed without them so we do not consider this very negative.
Morecambe is struggling so far this season. Before the season started they were considered to be in the top flight. However, if they do not improve it will be another disappointed mid table season for the club. Last round we recommended a bet on Morecambe and as it turned out it was a lucky one. They managed to collect their first victory for the season when they played against relegation candidates Leigh at home. However, they were only inches away from another disappointing game when Leigh hit the bar with ten minutes remaining. Also in the previous game against Scarborough they were lucky in the end since also Scarborough hit the bar with only minutes remaining. Morecambe has some injury worries to deal with; both strikers Danny Carlton (1(3) apps, 0 goals) and Gary Thompson (2(1) apps, 0 goals) are rated doubtful on Saturday. Thompson has been missing the last couple of games and Carlton sustained his injury in last game against Leigh. However, it seems like hard working midfielder Michael Stringfellow (1(2) apps, 1 goal) will be available again after missing both matches during the Bank Holiday through illness.
