Pick: Öster
Stake: 3%
Odds: 1,80
Final reasons
Öster has started to play much better and they have also succeeded to win a number of games at home lately. We believe that Öster will win here and when we can get the odds 1,85 against the worst form team in the league we really think it is worth a try. We stake 3% on the home win.
General comment about the game
Öster welcomes Brommapojkarna to a Sunday game in the Swedish Superettan. Öster was the main favourite, together with Häcken, before the season started to win the league and gain automatically promotion. But things did not start so well for the Växjö side and their results have really been up and down. Especially when playing at home they have had problems to win. In recent weeks however things have started to look better for Öster. New signing Pär Cederqvist from Djurgården has been the goal scorer they apparently did not have before. Cedeqvist came in the middle of the summer and he is already the best goal scorer in Öster this season. Lately Öster has started to win games also at home. Three wins from the four last games is good and bearing in mind that the play has been much better in these games Öster really has a chance reaching the third spot which means play off to Allsvenskan. In last game they played at home against Café Opera in a match ending with a 1-0 victory. Öster was the dominating side in the first half but could not get the ball into goal, much because of efficient work by the defensive players in Café Opera. The second half is only some minutes old when Cederqvist makes 1-0 to the home side. After the goal Café Opera starts to play better and they have good chances to equalise but Claes Green in the Öster goal make some impressing saves. Also Öster has some good chances in the second half but they could not score more so the game ends with 1-0. Öster has no suspensions to deal with ahead of this game and on the injury front there is nothing new to report, they will be able to keep on with the same players as in recent games.
Brommapojkarna are struggling for the moment. Only seven points from the last ten rounds is really bad and if they do not start to play better they will get into trouble since the relegation zone is chasing them. Last game Brommapojkarna lost at home to GAIS with 3-2. GAIS was up 1-0 already after 20 minutes after a header goal on a corner. Brommapojkarna tried hard to get back in the game but had difficulties to create any real danger. After some changes in half time, Brommapojkarna was sharper in the second half and in minute 62 and 64 they score both 1-1 and 2-1 and many believes that it would be Brommapojkarnas evening. However, a new corner with another bad marking in the Brommapojkarna defence gave GAIS their second goal. In the dying moments of the game when everybody seemed to accept the draw, LG Carlstrand in GAIS shows the importance of keep on fighting when he gives GAIS the victory. All in all a nice game but bad work in the defence in the home team really gave away this game. Brommapojkarna has been in injury troubles and in order to help this up they have signed forward Olle Kullinger for the rest of the season. Olle has been in Halmstad BK last years but this year he has not been able to take a place in the starting line up. Brommapojkarna has no suspensions and it is unlikely that will get any of the injured players back to this game.
