Final reasons
Yeovil is a strong home side and when playing such a scrappy away side as Macclesfield, they should be able to manage another home win. Macclesfield is, as just said, a bad away team and recent losses against struggling sides although taking the lead does not sound good for their confidence. We believe that this is a perfect team for Yeovil to face in order to get back to winning ways. We stake 3% on the home win.
General comment about the game
Tomorrow third placed Yeovil welcomes Macclesfield to a clash in the English League Two. Yeovil is a strong home side with four wins and two draws so far. Last round Yeovil played away to Rochdale and lost 2-1. Rochdale played very determined and aggressive and therefore Yeovil had problems in getting the grip on the midfield. The result was still 0-0 at half time but just after the break Yeovil managed to score. However, this evening Rochdale had decided to disturb the league leaders and with two goals in the 68th and the 82nd minute they managed to turn the game into a win. Worth mentioning is that Yeovil missed their important playmaker Gavin Williams (5(1) apps, 1 goal) in last game and that was one of the reasons for their less impressive performance. Williams has trained during the week and suffered no reaction. There is still a minor doubt for him on Saturday. Definitely out is defender Adam Lockwood (1(1) apps). This means that Yeovil probably will field a very good starting line up and since they are such a good home side, this should be their afternoon.
Tenth placed Macclesfield started the new season with five games without loosing. After that things have been worse, especially on the road where they now have four straight losses against average or bottom teams. In the last round Macclesfield lost at home to struggling Notts County with 2-1. Macclesfield took the lead in first half but also this week they could not hold on to their lead and ended up with a loss. In order to get back to fine form Macclesfield has tried to add on loan players to the squad but so far this has failed. The most recent hunt has them chasing defender Jason Gavin from Bradford, the deal was however turned down. Macclesfield has doubts over midfielder Tommy Widdrington (11 apps).
