Final reasons
Luton seems to be back at full power and since they now play a struggling MK Dons it is very likely that they can achieve another away win here. The league leaders have in recent matches shown that they are capable of going all the way to promotion this year. Disbelievers thought that their run of three straight defeats in mid October was the beginning of a downfall but Luton has since then once again shown what a very good football side they are. The best odds offered is 2,00 on a Luton victory and if they are to continue to win half or more of their away games, this is definitely one that should be included in the winning group. We stake 3% on Luton.
General comment about the game
Super strong Luton on the first spot in English League One faces MK Dons tomorrow. Luton has found back to their winning formula and this has now given them some very good wins in a row. As we all remember Luton was very good in the beginning of the season but the winning margin was very often small. In recent games there has been a much more efficient Luton side on the pitch and this have resulted in 12 goals forward and only one in the back in the last three games, including the FA Cup game against Southend last weekend. Luton will be boosted to get their skipper and midfielder Kevin Nicholls (15 apps, 2 goals) back from suspension. However, fellow central midfielder Steve Robinson (16 apps, 3 goals) is out for at least a month because of a hernia operation. Goalkeeper Marlon Beresford (10 apps) should be available again after the injury he suffered in late September.
As we all know, MK Dons was relegated last year and as many other relegated teams they have not got their things going so far. After a very slow start with only one point form the five first games, MK Dons had a nice row of six games where they only lost once. But that fortune did not last for long and in the latest six games they have only taken two points. To this game MK Dons have skipper and defender Mark Williams (10(1) apps) very doubtful. Missing through injury is on loan midfielder Richard Johnson (2 apps), while Laurent Herve (10(3) apps) is away for family bereavement. Absent is also suspended defender Dean Lewington (15 apps). On the positive side for MK Dons is the new signing of winger Nicky Rizzo, earlier in Italian Serie A side Lecce. Rizzo is expected to go straight into the starting line up against Luton.
