General comment about the game

Promotion chasing Hull welcomes Leyton Orient to an evening clash in the English division three. After a very good period with seven straight wins, Hull only took one point on the four following games. The three losses came away against good home teams such as Lincoln and Mansfield, and at home to an in form Torquay side, who beat Hull with 1-0 after a splendid performance. Of course this was not good for Hull but after last weekends win at home to Scunthorpe with 2-1 things looks to be on the right track again, especially since striker Danny Allsopp (21(4) apps, 13 goals) is back from injury. The game against Scunthorpe was a very strong performance by Hull and with 2-0 up already at half time they had a number of very good chances to make some extra goals. Allsopp has been out for a month but made a short appearance against Scunthorpe and he nearly scored. Apparently Allsopp seems to be a very important player because during another bad period for Hull during the autumn months, Allsopp was also out injured. Now things have cleared up for Allsopp and Hull believes he now will be back for the rest of the season. Hull has no other injury or suspension concerns. Only doubt is goalkeeper Boaz Myhill (12 apps).

Leyton Orient has been quite a decent home side this year with 31 points gathered on 18 games played. On the road it has been worse and on the last eight occasions they have only grabbed four points. Last weekend Leyton Orient played at home towards Kidderminster, a game ending in a 1-1 draw. Leyton took the lead by a header by striker Gary Alexander in first half, but with a lack of fantasy and ability Leyton couldn’t kill the game of. Instead Kidderminster equalised on a penalty shot with only ten minutes to go. The game was very dull and with a lot of yellow cards delivered and with two men sent of this was not a day to remember for either side. The Leyton manager Martin Ling says that it is time to forget the playoff ideas as many important points has been lost recently. To this game forward Wayne Purser (25(6) apps, 4 goals) is doubtful while defender Matthew Lockwood (21 apps, 2 goals) is definitely out.

We believe that promotion chasing Hull will win over out of form travellers Leyton Orient tonight in the Kingston Communication Arena. Bearing in mind Hulls lack of form lately we go for a medium stake on 3%.
