Final reason for bet

·          Esbjerg made an excellent restart of the season

·          Esbjerg was a very good home side during the autumn months.

·          Aarhus lost the first game after the restart, after a display with both good and bad football.

General comment about the game

In the restarted Danish SAS Liga table toppers Esbjerg welcomes seventh placed Aarhus. Esbjerg has been very good at home this season and although they have not played at home since December, it is likely that they will keep up this tradition also over next games. The reason for this belief is last weekend’s magnificent performance away to Bröndby in a game that they won with 6-1. This is a display that has been talked about in all Danish media during the week. One of the best players in that game was the new forward Fredrik Berglund who has signed from the Dutch side FC Roda. Berglund made two goals in the Bröndby game and it seems as if he will be a boost for the club. Things seems to be in order in Esbjerg ahead of the game and the only player who is not available is midfielder Tommy Lövenkrands (22 apps, 4 goals).

Aarhus AGF is a mid table team that finished the autumn season in a good way. After being totally out of form with five straight losses the arrival of Swedish coach Sören Åkeby saw them grab 13 points in the last six rounds. The restart however did not look that promising since Aarhus lost with 1-0 at home to Aalborg. Aarhus started very bad in the first half and ended it even worse. They shall be glad that the result was still 0-0 at half time. In the second half a totally different Aarhus took the command of the game and created a number of good chances but without being able to score. Instead it was  Aalborg who scored the first goal. Aarhus kept on the good play but was unable to equalise, although this probably would have been the fairest result. Aarhus has made some new signings to the restart of the SAS Liga. The first is midfielder Stig Töfting who after spending the last year in China now returns to Aarhus after some years abroad. The second new player is Swedish midfielder Martin Ulander who has played for Örgryte the last seasons. Ahead of the Esbjerg clash Aarhus has forward Tom Christensen (5 apps, 1 goal), midfielder Mikkel Bo Jensen (11 apps, 1 goal) and forward Helgi Sigurdsson (0 apps) as the only injured players.

We believe that Esbjerg is to strong for Arhus and we go for a medium stake here.
