General comment about the game

Yeovil welcomes Cheltenham to a Saturday game in the English division three. Yeovil is as many teams in this division better when they play at home than on the road. Currently they have only one victory from the seven latest away games. At home it is better, although the two last home games only have given one point. These two games however were against Doncaster and Mansfield, two teams from the upper part of the table, and although that Mansfield has been low for a while they have looked much sharper in recent games. The game against Doncaster ended 0-1 and although the game was quite tight Doncaster created the best chances and could grab the win with a second half goal. The game against Mansfield was much more a Yeovil game. They had the better play and took the lead in the middle of the second half after creating most of the chances, however the lead was only held for 10 minutes as Mansfield equalised quite instantly. After that Yeovil kept on attacking and they were very close to score in the dying minutes. Impressing how they never gave up but tried to win until the bitter end. Yeovil played away to Torquay last weekend. Yeovil started this game in a splendid way and were up 2-0 quite early in the first half. In order to adjust the bad start Torquay made two forward changes already in the 27th minute in the first half and this changed the match picture totally. After the changes Torquay was the better side and after getting back to 2-1 at half time, they levelled in the middle of the second half.  So to bring some order in recent displays, we first see that Yeovil has met good teams, the second reflection is that they have played good football in periods in two of these games and defended quite well in the third game against Doncaster.  During the whole season Yeovil has only lost points three times at home to medium or bottom teams and this was under their bad period earlier this year. Yeovil has no suspensions or injuries on important players.

Cheltenham is the second worst away team so far this season and for the moment they have lost half of the away games. At home it is the opposite, here they have won half of the games played but still they reside as a medium team in the home table. The recent result has been very bad for Cheltenham. They now have four straight losses and on the six last games they have only taken one point. In the last round Cheltenham played at home to Bristol Rovers. It was a quite good affair with both teams performing good football in periods. Cheltenham had most of the possession but Bristol Rovers was more efficient in the finishes. Cheltenham took the lead in first half but after a quick reply Bristol Rovers made two quick goals and stayed in front for the rest of the game. In the second half Bristol Rovers were closest to score, as they hit the woodwork after a splendid header from the middle of the penalty box. However although loosing, Cheltenham looked quite ok this day. They reside over the relegation zone for the moment and if they can play like this in the up coming games they surely will be able to stay in the division.  Cheltenham has no injury or suspension concerns.

We believe that Yeovil will keep up their good home spirit and beat Cheltenham. However, since Cheltenham showed signs of better play in the last game against Bristol Rovers we stay on 3%.
