Liverpool - Charlton, English Premier League

2004-04-12 16.00 CET

Pick:       Liverpool

Stake:     3%

Odds:      1,62

Final reason for bet

·          Liverpool’s current form at home is very impressive with six wins from their last seven games on Anfield Road.

·          Liverpool does not have any important players missing and can continue with the same starting line up as in recent matches.

·          Liverpool is hungry for revenge since they lost this encounter during the autumn at The Valley. Liverpool looked stronger for long and should have won if it had not been for an amazing performance from fringe striker Kevin Lisbie who scored three good goals.

·          Charlton has lost their fine form. They have six defeats from their last nine games. Furthermore, they have three consecutive defeats playing on the road.

·          Charlton misses three first team regulars; defenders Chris Perry (24 apps, 1 goal) and Mark Fish (23 apps) and midfielder Graham Stuart (19(5) apps, 3 goals).

·          Both teams are chasing European football next season but we strongly believe that Liverpool is the better team. Liverpool must win to still have the fourth place in their own hands and that together with home advantage will decide the outcome.
