General comment about the game

In the Danish Division 2 Dalum is one of the main contenders for direct promotion. The team was very close to get promoted last year but failed in the end. This year things look much better and for the moment they are eight points clear with nine games still to go. After the winter break Dalum surprisingly lost at home to Glostrup with 4-0. That was surprising since Dalum had been one of the best home sides during the autumn with six wins and one draw. The bad start did not follow them and over the last rounds Dalum has been very good and has taken important victories against fellow top teams Naestved and Holbaek. Dalum is a good goal scoring side and so far they have scored 28 goals on ten home games. They have conceived 15 goals in the back during the same time. The game against Holbaek was played last weekend. The two teams both started in a promising and optimistic way in order to win the match. Dalum however made the first goal already in the 9th minute. In the second half Holbaek didn’t really upset and Dalum could extend the lead after 69 minutes. In the end of the game Dalum had a number of chances to score also goal number three and four but for some reasons the game ended with a 2-0 victory. Dalum coach praised his side after the game and thought it was a good display all over the line. Dalum will have no important players missing on Saturday.

Lyngby is a newcomer in Division 2 this year and they are fighting to avoid relegation. Lyngby is a former Danish top club that went into financial troubles and was forced down to Division 3 some years ago. Now they are fighting their way back up through the system. Lyngby is a quite inconsistent team with some good displays and some very bad displays. Over the last rounds they have been involved in games with quite a lot of goals. From the last 5 games the opponents have scored 16 goals, and of course that is not a good sign when facing Dalum. Last round Lyngby played at home against Kalundborg. Although both teams had the same amount of ball possession, Kalundborg managed to make three goals in the first half. In the second half Lyngby were more alert and after a goal on stoppage time they could secure one point from a 3-3 draw. To this game Lyngby misses their goalkeeper Elves Thörner who is away on international duties, otherwise there are no important players missing.

This is a game that promotion hunting Dalum probably will win quite easy. They have shown that they are in good form with recent wins over other top teams, and when facing Lyngby with defensive instability they surely will go for a lot of goals here. 3% on Dalum.
