General comment about the game
The Danish SAS Liga continues today with a game between title chasing Bröndby against Odense, among others. Bröndby was excellent during the autumn season and looked to go straight for title. But after the winter break things did not start as they wanted as they lost with 6-1 at home to Esbjerg in the first game. After that they had some other less impressing results but now with three straight home wins it seems as if they are back on track and in good chance of grabbing the championship. In the last game Bröndby played at home against Århus and won 2-0 after both goals made in the first half, and Århus not able to threaten Bröndby. Today against Odense a large crowd around 20000 is expected to support the Bröndby team. Bröndby welcomes back midfield giant Morten Wieghorst after suspension but on the other hand defender Per Nielsen is suspended for the Odense game since his suspension in the Dong Cup was transferred to the SAS Liga.
Odense has been a great home team this season and for long time they were really into the title rally. Lately however things have been worse for them and on the last four games they have only taken one point and now they are too many points after the other teams. On the road Odense is a much worse team than playing at home. In their 13 played games they have lost six. Last week Odense fell at home to FC Copenhagen with 0-4 after a bad display. One reason for the bad run that they are into is injuries and suspensions. Now the situation is better so today they will be able to choose a starting line up from a full squad. Problems though that some players have been out for a while and lacks match fitness.
