Pick: Odense
Stake: 3%
Odds: 1,65
Final reasons
Odense has recovered after some bad rounds caused by injuries and suspensions and now they go into the final rounds with the aim of getting the fourth spot that will guarantee them a place in the new Royal League. Nordsjaelland has to gather more points in order to survive in the SAS Liga, but since Odense is a strong home side and Nordsjaelland is a bad away team we do not believe that they will get any help here. 3% on the home team is suggested.
General comment about the game
The Danish SAS Liga goes into the final three rounds and today we think that Odense – Nordsjaelland is a good bet. Odense was in a bad period some rounds ago and during four games they only grabbed one point. This however was much due to injuries and suspensions more than a sudden drop in form in the regular squad. Last weekend we expected Odense to loose against Bröndby but Odense stood up well and managed a draw against the title chasers. After that they went to Copenhagen for another game, now against AB Copenhagen. Odense played well and although struggling AB fought hard Odense could secure a safe 3-0 victory. Odense is one of the best home teams in the league with 11 wins from 15 games played. The only times they have lost points at home is when they have played against the better teams in the division such as Bröndby, Esbjerg, FC Copenhagen and Aalborg. Odense has no important players missing and will be able to continue with the same squad.
Nordsjaelland has three points down to Frem Copenhagen in the relegation zone, and of course they can not feel safe yet. Nordsjaelland is a very bad away team with nine defeats from 14 games played and it is therefore very doubtful if they can disturb one of the best home teams on Sunday. In mid week Nordsjaelland played at home against Aalborg in a game where Aalborg was not to be recognized. The game ended 0-0 but it was Nordsjaelland who was closest to the win since Aalborg did not threaten at all. The attitude and the fighting spirit were on a much higher level than in the previous game away to AB Copenhagen when they lost 2-1. Nordsjaelland has midfielder Henrik Eggerts (4 apps) and striker Denni Conteh (8 apps, 3 goals) out with injuries and it is also very doubtful that midfielder Anders Alding (21 apps, 1 goal) will be fit and available for the game, On the positive side for Nordsjaelland they have midfielder Carsten Fredgaard (26 apps, 3 goals) available again after being suspended in the last game.
