Promotion hopefuls Assyriska is in a good run especially at home where they have collected three straight victories. Tonight they face an Enköping team that so far has had big problems to create danger for their opponents which has resulted in few goals and many draws. Assyriska is the team that has scored most so far and even if they miss one of their regular strikers we believe that they will break down the Enköping defence tonight. However, since Enköping has been quite good defensively so far we suggest an Asian handicap giving half the stake back if the match ends with a draw.
General comment about the game
Tonight the Swedish Superettan continues with another round and we believe that Assyriska will be a good bet when they will be visited by Enköping. Assyriska has started the new campaign in a very promising way and is currently in third place with the same number of points as Häcken and Norrköping above them. Assyriska was very near to be promoted to the highest division in Sweden a couple of years ago. Since then they have had some mediocre seasons but to this year their aim is once again to reach Allsvenskan. At home they have so far collected maximum nine points. In last game they played on the road against Åtvidaberg in match that the hosts won by 3-1. Assyriska played some good football in that game but defensive mistakes lead to some of Åtvidaberg’s goals. Manager Conny Karlsson was obviously disappointed after the game but was happy to see that their moving and passing was better than in previous matches. Unfortunately striker Christos Christoforidis got injured in that game and is likely to be sidelined for three weeks. He is however the only important absentee for tonight’s game.
Enköping had a very short spell in Allsvenskan last year. They were never near to hold on to their place and relegation was quite obvious from the beginning. To this year they have lost some good and experienced players like Andreas Hermanson, Peter Berggren and Johan Wallinder. Their new signings is relatively unknown so the expectations for this season are not so high. They will probably find it hard to compete for top places, instead they are likely to be a mid table team. Their start of the season underlines this. In last game they won their first match for the season when they beat newcomers Brage at home. The match was not good from either team. Enköping had most of the ball but found it very hard to create any real danger which has been their main problem so far this season. As longer the match went on it seemed to be another draw for the hosts, but 15 minutes before the end Brage got a man sent off and from the following free kick they scored. The last minutes was nerve breaking for the Enköping faithful despite the fact that Brage got another man sent off and consequently played with only nine men.
