Final reason for bet
Tromsö has been very good so far this year. The defence has been very good as well as their goalscoring ability, and we fully believe that they will keep on with this way of playing today and therefore win over Vålerengen. One reason behind the bet is that the forwards in Tromsö have a very good ability to create chances on their own; many goals so far have been very nice performances. We put 3% on Tromsö this evening, on an Asian Handicap -0,25.
General comment about the game
Today league leaders Tromsö take on fourth placed Vålerengen. Tromsö has been playing very well this year and at home they have succeeded to win all four games so far, with the number one performance coming against title holders Rosenborg with 4-1. Tromsö has not bought in so many new players this year but instead it seems as if their coach this year has found how to use their skill in a much more efficient way. They have three attacking players who all three has managed to score many goals this year. These players are Ole Martin Årst who has made five goals so far, Lars Iver Strand who has made four and Morten Gamst Pedersen who also has made four. Last round Tromsö played away to Lyn in a game that they lost with 2-1. The fact is that the result could just as well have been the opposite since Tromsö missed a penalty when there was ten minutes remaining. Instead Lyn managed to score the winning ball, but all in all maybe a draw should have been most fair. To this game Tromsö’s only missing player is defender Steinar Nielsen.
Vålerengen who ended up in the relegation playoff last year has started the new season in a much more promising way although some things are the same. Also this year Vålerengen is involved in many games that are very tight and with few goals, this year however they have not lost the even games. Vålerengen has brought in a number of new players this year and although not loosing yet their idea of playing more offensive and scoring more goals has not been fulfilled. When playing on the road Vålerengen has been involved in three draws and one win. The goal difference from those four games is 5-4 and it is a result of many games being more of a battle and dominated by lot of fighting in the midfield. Last game Vålerengen played against Molde on the road. The game ended 1-1 after Vålerengen equalising on a penalty in the end of first half. In the second half Vålerengen had most of the ball but they were unable to create any danger in front of Molde’s goal keeper. To the Tromsö game Vålerengen will miss their goal keeper Pa Demba Tourray and also defender Ronny Dohli through injuries.
