Final reasons
This is a game between two teams that for a couple of years ago played in Allsvenskan. Norrköping has started the new season very good, especially when playing on the road. They have won three and only lost one on their five away matches. Västerås plays really bad for the moment. They have ten matches without a win and their defence looks anything than stable. Tonight they face one of the best striker pairs in the league and we believe that they will not coupe with that. It would be very surprising if a weak Västerås can disturb a promotion chasing attacking minded Norrköping. However, since Norrköping (without Renato Braga) played ineffective in last game we will suggest a safer bet than a straight victory and therefore an asian handicap given the stake back if the match ends with a draw seems to be the best recommendation. 3% stake.
General comment about the game
Tonight there are three matches in the Swedish Superettan and we believe that the game between Västerås and Norrköping will be a good bet opportunity. Norrköping is a traditional Swedish football club that usually plays in the top league; Allsvenskan. However, two years ago they got relegated to Superettan and since then their goal is to get promoted up again. Last year was a real disappointment for Norrköping as they were title favourites but ended up on ninth spot. Hopefully for the Norrköping faithful they have learnt from that lesson to not take anything for granted. This season everything looks much better and if they win tonight they will climb to third place in the table. They are not one of the favourites this year which means that they have much less pressure than last year. Most noticeable loss to this season is Finnish striker Antti Sumiala. But the club has made some new very interesting Brazilian signings in striker Renato Braga and midfielder Rodrigo Pontes. Both have made an impression in the team and have played most of the games. Braga is together with Andreas Alm one of the most leathal striker pairs in Superettan and has scored 13 goals between them (7 for Alm and 6 for Braga). In last game Norrköping collected there first defeat at home when they played against Café Opera. Norrköping had most of the ball and most of the chances but in the end the visitors won by 2-1. Norrköping was very ineffective and played too slow to really threaten the opponents. Worth to mention is that striker Braga was out through suspension. He will be back for tonight’s game and that will of course be a boost for the team. No important players are reported to be missing in the team.
Västerås has had all kind of problems so far this season. Just before the season kicked off they sacked their manager for racist comments. His replacement, Richard Money, has not been the injection they hoped for. Västerås won the premiere against promotion hopefuls Assyriska but have not won since then. Their biggest problem seems to be their defence; 24 goals in the back in eleven matches are far from good. They lack a strong and experienced central defender that can act as a leader on the pitch. Västerås has not made any bigger changes from last year’s squad. This is a bit surprising since they made an awful second half of the season which got them fighting to avoid relegation instead of fighting for top spots. The start of this season shows the same pattern and if they do not do anything drastic it looks hard to avoid relegation. In last game they played away against newcomers GAIS and lost with 1-3. In the game before that they lost away to Brommapojkarna with 1-4. We can see no light in the dark tunnel……
